Nested Context Model - Introduction

Nested Context Model (Casanova, 1991) is a conceptual framework for the  definition presentation and browsing of documents. The model combines hypertext links with the concept of context nodes, used to group together set of nodes. Context nodes can be nested to any depth. The nested context model defines also an abstract and flexible interface that captures the idea that different application may observe the same node in different ways. A set of operations is defined to explore the double structure of a document-that defined by the links and that include by the nesting of context nodes. Nested Context model has three  submodels. Definition submodel, presentation submodel and navigation submodel.
