Xanadu - Introduction

Xanadu (Nelson, 1980) gave emphasis on creating a unified literacy environment on a global scale. During this project presented for the first time the term Hypertext by hypertext pioneer, Ted Nelson. In Xanadu nothing has to be saved twice.  Storage space is saved with the heavy use of links. Only the original document and changes to the document are saved. Xanadu placed its main interest in database level-data model of hypertext system.
