Hypertext Editing System - Introduction

Hypertext Editing System (Rada, 1991a, pp 23) was developed on a mainframe computer. It was supporting branching text and automatically arranged branches into menus. Authors could specify which branches to follow when printing was to occur. Hypertext Editing system made an attempt as a commercial product but failed in the marketplace. The idea of sitting behind a computer terminal and authoring was very ambitious at that time.
