Neptune - Introduction

In Neptune (Delisle et all, 1986) the separation between user interface and storage  level is very strong. Storage level is based in Hypertext Abstract Machine (HAM). The interface level provides several browsers. Graph browser for the hypertext graph, document browser supports hierarchical navigation in nodes and links and node browser for accessing individual nodes, attribute browsers, version browser, node difference browser and demon browser. Neptune support anchors to allow links to have as their destination a part of a node whatever is a text or a graphics node.
