Predetermined, hardwired paths - No adaptation to current users conditions. Introduction

 * Predetermined, hardwired paths - No adaptation to current users conditions.  The links that exist in a hypermedia system are hardwired. That means they are explicit defined by the author ( in some systems also users can define links ). As a result the paths that a user follows in exploring the information is predetermined by the author and by previous user trails from previous explorations. This is problem since a precompiled path reflects a logic in traversing the information nodes, ignoring the current conditions and users motivations in which a traversal is taking place. This lack of adaptability to user's needs leads to lower productivity.
