Asksam is a database program for the IBM PC from Seaside Software that has been available for a number of years. Version 4.0 adds hypertext capabilities in addition to the standard information retrieval capabilities of a database manager.AskSam provides an interesting example of an example of an existing  product that has been enhanced by adding hypertext capabilities. It also demostrates how a hypertext system can benefit from the availability of traditional database management features (or vice versa)
